Log

The party explored an area of the homestead that had been cut off by the wolf pen. The first room had spears, clubs, and a hunting horn. Caelesti piled the weapons in preparation for a bonfire on the way out. The second room had chests. The third room had a bed and more chests. Yoshi hurried the party past the chests so that they could utilize buff spells before they went down.

The party moved to the area south of the wolf pen. Yoshi could hear giggling behind the door. He kicked the door open. Inside were a single male giant, and 6 females.

Yoshi charged a giant, slugging her, but not stunning her.
Talon started singing.
Caelesti cast Confusion on four giants, affecting them all. She told the party to attack the others.
Carric started casting.
Torin got into position.
The confused male giant attacked the female that Yoshi had charged.

Yoshi charged another giant.
A confused giant stood there babbling.
The damaged female giant slammed the male giant.
Carric summoned three dire wolves that attacked the cowering giants in the back of the room. The wolves got two good bites in. Both giants were tripped.
Carric started casting a second summoning spell.
The giant attacked by Yoshi fled to the door and opened it.
A confused giant rushed out the door.

Yoshi flew to the door to attack the giant at the door, partly blocking her way.
Talon flew into the room to stop anything that might flee.
A fallen giantess stood up, was bitten, and was pulled back down.
A confused giant fled the room.
The other fallen giant stood up and fled, overrunning Yoshi.
Caelesti successfully cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter on the giantess standing on Yoshi.
The wolves chased down their opponents. One giantess was bitten.
Carric summoned two more dire wolves that attacked the giants at the door. One giantess was bitten and tripped.
Carric cast Magic Missiles at the laughing giant.
A giant stood up, was bitten twice, and pulled back down. She started crawling away.
A confused giantess fled farther.

Yoshi stood up and flew after the fleeing giant.
Talon flew after and cast Suggestion on her, telling her to tell the others that "Edward was a traitor."
A fleeing giant tried to overrun a dire wolf and was blocked and knocked prone.
A confused giant near Talon attacked her in the air, striking her twice.
Caelesti successfully cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter on another giantess.
A dire wolf killed one of the laughing giantesses.
Other wolves bit other giantesses.
Carric cast Magic Missiles on the giant farthest away.
That giantess ran to the banquet hall door, opened it, and yelled the suggested phrase.

Being obvious that the "gig was up", Yoshi fled the hallway.
Talon fled the hallway.
Caelesti cast Invisibility on herself and flew a bit closer to the door.
The wolves continued attacking dropping a giantess and tripping two giants.
Carric cast Baleful Polymorph on the male giant, but it didn't work. He then flew out.
Torin flew out.
Giants started pouring out of the dining hall.

Yoshi and Talon flew out.
The wolves continued fighting, knocking the laughing giantess unconscious.
Giants started attacking the wolves.
Caelesti stayed behind to watch a bit.
A confused giant fled to the wolf pen.
Carric cast Fireball on her.

The wolves started attacking the new giant arrivals.
Talon started using her wand to turn the party invisible.
Giants started killing the wolves with rocks.
Caelesti cast Confusion in the hallway and fled.
Carric cast a second Fireball on the giantess in the wolf pen, and she dropped.

Caelesti cast Invisibility on herself and tried to watch the goings on. She whispered to the others that they should have some time to search the chests.
The invisible party searched the chests and lit the bonfire.
Other giants disarmed and subdued the confused giants.

The invisible party stayed nearby to listen to the giants explanations of the events.

Talon: After about 15 minutes, Giants pour out into the courtyard and see all the dead wolves and the dead MIssy.
Talon: Oh,no she stablized before dying, and Missy is actually only unconscious.
Talon: Smarter giant counts the dead wolves 5 times.
Talon: Then he looks confused.
Talon: Smoke starts coming out door of north rooms.
Talon: These are their barracks.
Talon: Horn and boots are on fire.
Talon: They beat out fire, but there are more fires as more beds are on fire.
Talon: We fly away back to our cave/camp.
Talon: 4 wand charges used.
Talon: Yoshi wants to go and protect the town that is marked on map as next place to raid.
Talon: Giants are confused by everything. Then a particularly tough Hill Giant comes out and other show respect to him.
Talon: He seems above 6 INT. He listens and responds.
Talon: Some of the members caught on fire and some killed by wolves and saw flying person/Caelesti.
Talon: They consider her slave creature.
Talon: Cause of her relatively diminutive size.
Talon: Smart guy says sounds like cheat'n stuff going on.
Talon: He says, "at least that's what Nosra says" referring to a guy who is visiting.
