The giants jockeyed for potion.
Yoshi suggested retreating.
Talon cast CLW on Mongo and retreated.
Carric cast Fireball on the giants and retreated.
The confused cloud giant killed another hill giant.
The confused dire bear attacked a hill giant and killed it.
The confused giants locked in combat attacked each other.
A hill giant advanced and attacked Torin.
Torin turned to retreat and was clubbed with a well placed hit. Torin flew up the stairs.
Yoshi and Mongo flew up the stairs.
Caelesti flew up the stairs to Carric and cast Invisibility on him.

Talon retreated further.
Carric advanced up the stairs on foot.
The cloud giant stood in confusion.
The dire bear fled.
Giants milled about.
Torin flew straight up from the tower.
A confused giant killed another.
Carric turned into an eagle.

The party successfully escaped. At their secret campsite, after curing their wounds, they worked on plans.

In the middle of the night, while the party (including the guards) slept, five wild dogs attacked the party's food stores. Yoshi and Carric woke up. Carric made friends with them and fed them.

In the morning, the party scouted the giant homestead. In late morning, the lone cloud giant exited the homestead. The party let him leave unmolested.

At noon, after Carric got his spells, Caelesti cast Fly on the party, and the party launched a sortie on the homestead. The giants were hauling bodies into the wolf compound. Caelesti cast Confusion on a group of hill giants, affecting all four giants in the area.

A confused hill giant attacked his neighbor.
The chief scanned for trouble.
An onlooker moved up to break it up.
Another confused giant attacked the same victim.
The last two locked in combat.
The last confused giant attacked its neighbor.

Caelesti cast another Confusion spell, catching only one more.
A giant attempted to disarm another, but simply got clubbed for it.
The chief threw a rock up over the roof.
One of the giants locked in combat fell.
A giant continued to fight his attempted disarmer.
A giant decided to club a confused giant silly, locking them in combat.

Caelesti cast Haste on the Yoshi, Torin, and herself.
Giants fought each other.

Caelesti cast Confusion on the chief and his bear.
Giants fought each other; another two fell.
The chief clubbed his pet bear.
The bear attacked back in 'play'.

Confused and magically confused giants continued battling.
One fled the area.

The chief killed his pet dire bear.
Another giant fell to his confused neighbor.
The fleeing giant started to return.

The chief joined the fight with the remaining giants, killing one.
With only two giants left, the party moved to engage.
Yoshi dropped a badly wounded giant with a single kick.
Mongo and Torin headed after the chief who was fleeing.

Torin struck him.
Yoshi charged the badly wounded chief and struck him as well.
Mongo also charged the chief, dropping him.
