The rhino lumbered forward.
Carric started casting.
Giants threw rocks at the rhino. Another giant clubbed the mastodon.
Smokey trampled over four giants.
Torin flies over Yoshi and cast Cure Critical Wounds.
A giant near Smokey threw a rock at the rhino, and got gored in the back by Smokey.
Another giant charged the wounded rhino, and clubbed it.
Caelesti cast Confusion on a group of five giants, affecting two.

Yoshi quickly flew away from the battle and healed himself as monks do.
Another giant charged the rhino and clubbed it, causing the summoned rhino to wink out.
Giants threw rocks at Torin.
Carric summoned a brown bear next to the giant closest him. The bear clawed the giant.
Carric then turned into an eagle and flew up into the air.

Yoshi attacked a giant in a hasted flurry of blows.
Another bear showed up in place of the last one and clawed the wound giant, disabling it.
Carric squawked out a Flame Strike, killing the two badly wounded giants near Smokey.

The mastodon stood up and gored the giant fighting Yoshi.
Torin flew over to Yoshi and cast Cure Critical Wounds on him.
Caelesti flew toward the group and cast Magic Missiles at the giant fighting Yoshi.

Yoshi struck the giant until it was dead.
The bear charged the disabled fleeing giant, dropping it with its sharp claws.
Smokey charged the remaining fleeing giant, getting its attention.
Torin cast Cure Serious Wounds on the mastodon.
Caelesti flew over to Smokey and used her Healing Belt to cure him, a tiny bit.
The confused giant clubbed Smokey into unconsciousness.
Talon flew over to Smokey and cast Cure Serious Wounds on it.

Yoshi moved to attack the remaining giant, but missed.
Smokey stood up and gored the giant.
Caelesti cast Magic Missiles at it, dropping it.

The party was victorious. They healed up and searched the giants, finding little of value. Yoshi ensured that all the giants were dead. Caelesti cut the bottoms of all their sacks so that future groups of giants have to spend extra time collecting the belongings.

The party retreated to their hiding place for the night.

In the morning, they returned to the battle site. They built a bonfire including the giants' clubs to attract more giant attention, but it didn't work. The party decided to return to the giant homestead instead. Caelesti cast Fly on everyone except Carric, who turned into an eagle.

Outside the homestead, Caelesti disguised herself as an orc kitchen helper. The party went in. The first room they entered that was occupied contained two wounded orc kitchen helpers. Caelesti moved in to chat. When queried, the kitchen helpers said that the giants punished them for making mistakes. Caelesti suggested that they all run away; she said the humanoids would make a diversion so that everyone could escape. Talon cured the orcs' wounds. The bigger group worked their way to the stairs, and down into the cellar.

The orcs cowered in the basement since they had no idea which way to go. They did believe that other orcs escaped down there somewhere. Yoshi said the party would explore.

They explored down a long hallway. A bugbear spotted the party, looked at Caelesti (who looked like an orc), and yelled, "Escaped Slaves!"

Talon: So when the others come to take their loot, it falls out of the sacks.
Talon: We have taken care of almost half the Hill Giants in the keep. However there are some other, higher level and bigger Giants in the Keep plus ogres.
Talon: There was a name on a note that we found, in elvish, in Giant's keep.
Talon: So perhaps some evil elves or Mind Flayers (who use elvish characters) are behind it.
Talon: Torin can cure us up.
Talon: We will all be at full tonight and sleep well.
Talon: We post watches at night.
Talon: Talon sets up her hammock and gets out her cloud pillow and stuffed silver silk dragon.
Talon: Yoshi wants to go back to the battle site and make a bonfire with the clubs.
Talon: Carric could do a flame strike and set the clubs on fire.
Talon: We use dry tinder under the clubs.
Talon: It rains every day. Where do we find dry tinder.
Talon: No other parties come along the mountain pass this day.
Talon: They do not investigate the bonfire today.
Talon: The watch tower guy might be sleeping.
Talon: We decide to go back to the Giant keep the next day.

Talon: Shall we all fly into the courtyard of the Keep?

Talon: Caelesti disguises herself as a flying kitchen helper orc.

Talon: There is a large whip hanging on a hook next to the door.

Talon: Talon flies into the room. Yoshi flies past her and breaks down the door to the room we have not searched before.

Talon: A messy, smelly place filled with palates and junk.
Talon: Two of the palates have ugly looking kitchen help lying there with splints on arm or leg.
Talon: They sit up as we come in.
Talon: They are Orcs. They pull up blankets and tremble with fear.
Talon: Yoshi puts his finger to his lips for them to be quiet.
Talon: They stare at him with wide eyes.
Talon: Yoshi closes the door then asks Caelesti to talk to them. She seems kindly enough - in her orc disguise.
Talon: She goes in and talks to them in Common.
Talon: they say she is brave to go in and talk to them.
Talon: They say the mistresses will swat them and break their arms or legs.
Talon: They say that could happen to Caelesti too.
Talon: Caelesti suggests they escape.
Talon: They say some have escapted into the cellar.
Talon: They speak of a rebellion in the cellar, or so they have heard.
Talon: they wish they were able to get out of bed and join the rebellion.
Talon: They say they don't want to go out into the land with the big yellow eye that burns down (the sun).
Talon: The Orcs offer to show Caelesti the way to the rebellion group in the cellar.
Talon: Caelesti asks if the broken legged orc can crawl. She bravely does not offer to heal either of them!!!!!!!
Talon: They lean against each other and hop on sticks.
Talon: She lets them suffer.
Talon: They come to the door and are scared of rest of us. They drop their cruches. Caelesti says we are going to help.

Talon: We follow into a storage room with provisions. It has numerous sacks and boxes and barrels and cheeses, smokey meats and sausages hanging from ceiling.
Talon: There is a stairwell, we follow them down.
Talon: The Orcs lead with Orc-Caelesti to vouch for us.
Talon: One Orc is female and one is male.
Talon: Orquette is the female.
Talon: Orcquely is the male.
Brianna recenters everyone's view
Talon: We see large room with smokey torches and blackened stone wall, much worn. Tables pushed aside.
Talon: Large room.
Talon: No other creatures that we can see.
Talon: Our guides are confused.
Talon: They have never been here.
Talon: They panick.
Talon: They cower.
Talon: Yoshi offers to explore for them, which they wait here.
Talon: Yoshi heads to a corridor. Talon follows, as does Caelesti.
Talon: OUr Orcish "friends" follow us at a distance.
Talon: Yoshi can only see 30ft ahead.
Talon: He leads us. Does he wear his head torch? No, cause corridor, so far is lit by torches, but there are fewer as we go.
Talon: He puts headlamp on when needed.
Talon: We come to a door and corner.
Yoshi rolls Sk:Spot: (d20+11+4) : [19 + 11 + 4] = 34
Caelesti rolls Skill (Spot): (d20-1+2) : [19 - 1 + 2] = 20
Talon: Yoshi might see a Bugbear?
Talon: On the left corridor. We are not actually sure what it is.
Talon: Yoshi raises his hand, palm outward, and says "Hail." He is not acting agressively towards the strange creature.
Talon: He speaks Common.
Talon: Bugbear looks over at Yoshi, moves up, then looks at Caelesti and our two Orc friends. He whistles "Escaped slave, coming down from the kitchen."
Talon: He is drawing his weapon.
Talon: He looks hungrilly at Caelesti.
Talon: The rest of us confuse us.
Talon: Confuse him, but he still considers us "slaves" of the Giants.
Talon: Carric tells him Orquelly and Orquette are our friends. This only confirms his opinion.
Talon: We pause here.
