The harpy, Foullitter, flew down to the lake. Everybody waited patiently. The harpy noticed the floating face and screeched. She swooped down, snatched the face out of the water (Carric the octopus chose not to attempt to grab her), and landed on the beach to examine the face. Caelesti cast Fly on Yoshi. Yoshi flew to the harpy. Mavis shot two arrows at her, hitting once. Carric swam to the edge of the lake, reached a tentacle out of the water, and grabbed the harpy.

The harpy bit Carric and weakened him (reduced STR, DEX, and CON). The harpy attempted to flee, and Yoshi hit her with a hard punch, stunning her. Carric also attacked her with another tentacle, hitting her, but not holding on. Caelesti cast Fly on Nessey. Nessey advanced. Yoshi attacked the harpy with a flurry of blows, hitting twice. Mavis moved to get a better shot and hit her with another arrow. Carric turned back into himself, and climbed onto the beach, feeling quite ill.

The harpy fled. Caelesti left her cover and cast Magic Missiles at her backside. Nessey moved to check on Carric. Yoshi chased after the harpy. Mavis shot two arrows somewhat near the fleeing harpy. Carric checked his symptoms and decided he was diseased (harpy-bit).

The harpy flew up to the castle and in through a window. Nessey turned and chased after Yoshi. Mavis asked Caelesti for a Fly spell, Caelesti cast it on her, and Mavis gave chase as well. Yoshi chased after the harpy. Nessey argued that storming the castle was a bad idea. Carric cast Remove Disease on himself, and felt better, though still weak.

The harpy disappeared into the room. Caelesti cast Fly on herself and followed. Yoshi entered through the window, crossed the room, and tried the door. It was locked. Yoshi called to Mavis. Mavis landed at the door, and pulled out her picks.

Nessey searched out another window into the tower and shattered it with a shortsword. Carric cast Lesser Restoration on himself. Caelesti advances. Yoshi flew toward the broken glass, entered through the window, and stopped at another locked door. Yoshi yelled for Mavis to stay and pick the lock. Mavis tried and failed.

Nessey flew up to the top of the tower and attacked the door there. Carric cast a Lesser Restoration from a scroll on himself. Caelesti advanced and landed by Mavis, finding out that she was stuck at a locked door. Yoshi returned to the floor with Mavis. He felt a tickle in his mind, but noticed nothing else. Mavis tried the lock again and popped it open.

Nessey tried the door, found it was locked, and flew down a floor to join the others. Carric moved toward the castle on foot. Yoshi went through the door and down the stairs. Mavis, Caelesti, and Nessey followed.

Carric turned into an eagle and flew into the tower window that the others disappeared through. Yoshi flew to the only door on the bottom floor, and found it locked. Nessey called across the room saying attacking now was a bad idea. Mavis, Caelesti, and Nessey made it to the door. Caelesti cast Knock on the door. Carric flew down the stairs to join the others.

Yoshi opened the door and continued on. The castle at this point looked familiar. Mavis, at Nessey's urging, disguised herself as Pantiquod. The others waited.

The party continued to Chamferton's room. Mavis waited at the door, while the party hid around the corner. Mavis knocked on the door. She successfully convinced Chamferton and Foullitter that she was Pantiqod. Chamferton let her into the room.

Yoshi moved into the room to confront Foullitter. Nessey advanced into the room to confront Chamferton. Mavis attacked Chamferton, sneakily. Caelesti moved to flank Chamferton. Carric started to conjure.

Yoshi attack Foullitter with a flurry of blows, striking three times. Nessey attacked Chamferton with two weapons, striking twice. Mavis struck Chamferton twice, sneakily. Caelesti cast Magic Missiles at him. Carric summoned an air elemental that moved to attack Foullitter, buffeting her. Carric started to conjure again. Chamferton flew up to the ceiling, getting his legs stabbed by all three on him, and flew to the other side of the room. Foullitter attempted to bite Yoshi, but missed. Her second bite was well placed and Yoshi he was diseased (harpy-bit).

Mavis struck Chamferton once, though it was a great hit, and stepped back. Yoshi used his Chronocharm to approach Chamferton, attacked with a flurry of blows, and dropped him. Nessey executed the downed harpy.

Nessey: Harpy lands on beach with face in hand and wand and muttering.
Nessey: Marvis had removed the nail to get the face off.
Nessey: Harpy Foullitter is looking at it.
Nessey: Carric puts his eyes out in a surrepticious way and tries to see what is happening.
Nessey: Harpy is topless. Carric still wants to grab her.
Nessey: She is looking suspicously at the pole.
Nessey: Caelesti can go up now.
Nessey: She casts Fly on Yoshi.
Nessey: He can fly first.
Nessey: Mavis aims her bow at Harpy and looks over at Yoshi.
Nessey: Yoshi undelays and flies towards Harpy.
Nessey: Yoshi get within 5ft of Harpy. He is not engaged yet.
Nessey: Mavis may need to move to fire her bow.
Nessey: But she decides to fire twice this round at penalty.

Nessey: Foullitter is up next. She flies at full speed and flies up to a window on upper floor and flies in.

Nessey: Nessey flies up to Yoshi and asks what we should do next?
Nessey: Yoshi - to Mavis - get fly and come with me.
Nessey: Mavis - Caelesti fly me, come on, come on
Nessey: Caelesti undelays and casts fly on Mavis.
Nessey: Mavis can move immediately. She flies over with us - Yoshi and Nessey.
Nessey: Yoshi delayed until Mavis went.
Nessey: Now he flies after Mavis who is flying after the Harpy.
Nessey: Yoshi sees curtains in front of the window.
Nessey: There is no glass.
Nessey: Yoshi wants to strike while we are all flying and while the Harpy is still wounded.
Nessey: nessey wants to wait and form a new plan to sneak up on her later.
Nessey: Carric does a remove disease on himself.
Nessey: He is a Level 8 caster and this is not Mummy Rot, just Harpy bite, he consoles himself.

Nessey: Nessey flies over to the window and joins Yoshi and waits for instructions.
Nessey: Caelesti cast Fly on herself.
Nessey: She catches up to Mavis.
Nessey: Then Mavis can catch up to Yoshi.
Nessey: Yoshi wants to go in first.
Nessey: Yoshi pushes his way through the curtains and enters a room and pushes on a door.
Nessey: The door does not open.

Nessey: Maybe it opens inward instead of outward?

Nessey: Nessey flies up to the open turret and attacks the door to the inside with her short sword.

Nessey: Caelesti flies into room with Mavis and offers to do a Knock spell on door.
Nessey: Mavis reiterates her offer for Caelesti to join the theives guild back home. But by all means practice here.

Nessey: Yoshi returns to the room with Mavis and Caelesti and Mavis immediately goes silent.
Nessey: The silence is uncomfortable for Yoshi who wonders.

Nessey: Yoshi makes a Will save. He feels a little tickle in his mind, but feels that often.

Nessey: Mavis gets the door open easily this time. She smiles smugly.
Nessey: Nessey checks to see if the tower door is locked. It is.
Nessey: Nessey flies back down and joins her friends.
Nessey: Mavis - just in time, Nessey, we have this door open.
Nessey: Carric does a double move on land. He rans towards the castle.
Nessey: There is a spiral staircase past the door. Yoshi thinks Foullitter ran down the stairs.
Nessey: There are landings.
Nessey: Lofty ceilings.
Nessey: So what are you going to do, Mavis?
Nessey: Mavis chose not to tell us there is no one on the landing outside the door.
Nessey: yoshi runs through and runs down, headlessly.
Nessey: He runs as far as he can.
Nessey: Nessey - you could fly down, Yoshi - that would be more of a straight line.
Nessey: Mavis' turn.
Nessey: Mavis follows as does Caelesti.
Nessey: As does Nessey when next round happens.
Nessey: Carric turns into an Eagle and flies up to the tower window and empty room.
Nessey: He flies into the most popular window.
Nessey: Carric/Eagle enters an empty room.
Nessey: Yoshi flies to the bottom of the tower.
Nessey: What does he see?
Nessey: He sees stairs opening into a large rectangular room with curved walls.
Nessey: Has a door yonder.
Nessey: Door is empty of visible foes.
Nessey: Yoshi goes to the door and sees if it is locked?
Nessey: The door is locked.
Nessey: Yoshi - Grrrrrrr.
Nessey: Nessey - Yoshi - you know by now she is going to be healed and there is no point in this.
Nessey: Nessey - we should go rescue rest of faces.
Nessey: Mavis goes to door and pulls out picks.
Nessey: But Caelesti takes single move and casts knock.
Nessey: Nessey flies over and joins her buddies.
Nessey: Carric hears Nessey and Yoshi arguing and flies down the stairs.
Yoshi: Eyes like a hog
Nessey: let the hog see the rabbit
Nessey: Carric and Tan Kuran appear behind us.
Nessey: Nessey argues that we have a duty to rescue the faces.
Nessey: Tan Kuran is not in the room.
Nessey: That is Carric.
Nessey: Nessey - well, I will follow you until it looks like we are all going to die.
Nessey: Then I will rescue who I can.
Nessey: Yoshi goes in.
Nessey: He finds himself in the castle proper.
Nessey: Yoshi goes down a passage and it looks familar.
Nessey: He comes to the entrance hall and stairs that go up to guest suites and Chamferton's room.
Nessey: Mavis says we could go back to our old rooms and perhaps have dinner with Chamferton.
Nessey: Yoshi waits for us.
Nessey: Mavis says - Nessey - we have special stealth clostumes here.

Nessey: Mavis takes out cloth and ties around mouth and hands one to Nessey.
Nessey: Mavis ties one over Nessey's mouth and unties hers.
Nessey: Nessey rips off hers.
Nessey: Nessey - hah, hah, Mavis.
Nessey: Nessey - that reminds me Mavis, you are good at disguises. Why don't you turn into the pretty woman version of the Harpy?
Nessey: Mavis - I may not have seen her close enough to do that.
Nessey: Nessey - Chamferton?
Nessey: Mavis _ I might be able to do Pantiquod.
Nessey: Nessey urges her to do so.
Nessey: Nessey - as Foullitter's mother - you could distract her.
Nessey: Nessey thinks Mavis can transform quickly.
Nessey: More quickly than usual.
Nessey: It will only take her -- ?
Nessey: a minute.
Nessey: Mavis goes off into a corner by herself, facing away from us.
Nessey: She pulls some clothes and changes and looks at men not to look at her.
Nessey: She turns back to us when ready.
Nessey: She says -how do I look? Will this do?
Nessey: She looks remarkable good, though 3 inches taller.
Nessey: Same looking face and body otherwise.
Nessey: Voice is similar and she can fly.
Nessey: Mabye she shoud not fly since Pantiquod could not without being a Harpy.
Nessey: Mavis goes in first.
Nessey: Nessey - my advice is to tell Foullitter that now is the time to attack the false Chamferton.
Nessey: Mavis says she might not obey her mother.
Nessey: We wait around the corner while Mavis knocks on the door.
Nessey: Carric casts Resist Fire on Yoshi.
Nessey: Mavis knocks on the door. "Foullitter, I am here."
Nessey: Chamferton - What's this? Who's here?
Nessey: Mavis - Ah, Chamfy, you know me, Pantiquod. I was talking to my daughter the day before. Isn't that right, daughter?
Nessey: Daughter - yes.
Nessey: Mavis - Well, let me in, I've come back.
Nessey: Chamferton - opens door and looks Mavis up and down.
Nessey: He curls his lip, How pleasant. Why didn't you stay in Poffle? Doesn't your brother need you? Hasn't he died?

Nessey: Mavis - oh, no, he is quite well. Let me in and I will discuss our plans.

Nessey: She shouts - we have invaders. She quickly pulls out her short sword and swings and barely misses Nessey.
