Familiar Benefits As long as her familiar Nevermore is within reach, Zhaji has the benefits of the Alertness feat (already figured into the statistics above), and the following additional benefits.

Empathic Link (Su): Zhaji can communicate telepathically with Nevermore at a distance of up to 1 mile. She has the same connection to a person, item or a place that Nevermore does, for the purpose of scrying or teleportation.

Share Spells: Zhaji may have any spell she casts on herself also affect Nevermore if the latter is within 5 feet at the time. She may also cast a spell with a target of "You" on her familiar.

Touch: Nevermore can deliver touch spells for Zhaji.

Familiar Spell: Nevermore can use the greater teleport and polymorph any object spells once each per day as a spell-like ability.

Quasi-deity powers

Creatures of divine rank 0 are sometimes called quasi-deities or hero deities. Creatures that have a mortal and a deity as parents also fall into this category. These entities cannot grant spells, but are immortal and usually have one or more ability scores that are far above the norm for their species. They may have some worshipers. Ordinary mortals do not have a divine rank of 0. They lack a divine rank altogether.

A divine rank of 0 provides the following effects:

  • All deities that are outsiders have all alignment subtypes that correspond with their alignment.
  • Maximum hit points for each Hit Die
  • A much enhanced speed:

  • A deflection bonus equal to the deity's Charisma bonus, if any.
  • A variety of immunities. Unless otherwise indicated, these immunities do not apply if the attacker is a deity of equal or higher rank.
    • Immune to polymorphing, petrification, or any other attack that alters its form. Any shape-altering powers the deity might have work normally on itself.
    • Not subject to energy drain, ability drain, or ability damage.
    • Immune to mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects).
  • Fire resistance of 5 + divine rank.
  • Spell resistance of 32 + divine rank.
  • All deities (even those of rank 0) are naturally immortal and cannot die from natural causes. Deities do not age, and they do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe. The only way for a deity to die is through special circumstances, usually by being slain in magical or physical combat.

Divine rank is a factor in several other effects, but has no visible effect for a quasi-deity:

  • A field of divine energy encompasses the deity's body and provides a divine Armor Class bonus equal to the divine rank.
  • A deity gets its divine rank as a divine bonus on all attack rolls
  • A deity gets its divine rank as a divine bonus on all saving throws.
  • A deity gets its divine rank as a divine bonus on all skill checks, ability checks, caster level checks, and turning checks.

ring of munchkin wizardry (3,819,000)

This is a ring of wizardry I+II+III+IV+V+VI+VII+VIII+IX. It doubles the wearer's daily allotment of arcane spells of levels 1-9, not including bonus spells from high ability scores, school specialization, or wizard domain.

Additionally, the ring functions as an enhanced ring of spell battle (MIC 127). As a continuous effect requiring no activation, the ring automatically informs the wearer of all spellcasting that occurs within 60 feet and allows a Spellcraft check (DC 15 + spell level) to identify the spell being cast, whether or not the casting or effect is visible.

Three times per day, when a spell is successfully identified, the wearer can attempt to counterspell that spell as if with dispel magic change the target of the spell to any target within 60 feet. If an illegal target is selected (because of the spell's range limitations or other restrictions), the spell functions normally and the effect is wasted.

This ring has the following powers:

As a ring of weapon breaking (600,000), it grants its wearer damage reduction 15/adamantine and requires any weapon that successfully strikes it's wearer to make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 20) or be shattered into pieces.

As a ring of protection +5 (50,000), grants a +5 deflection bonus to armor class.

As a ring of freedom of movement (40,000 * 1.5), the wearer is continuously under the effect of a freedom of movement spell.

As a ring of invisibility (20,000 * 1.5), upon command the wearer is granted an invisibility spell.

As a ring of sustenance (2,500 * 1.5), the wearer needs no food or water and is refreshed from 2 hours of sleep as if she had slept for a full 8 hours.

As a ring of feather falling (2,200 * 1.5), the wearer is affected immediately as if by a feather fall spell any time she falls more than five feet.

This small book is bound in hammered silver and engraved with the continents of the world.

By studying the book for 1 minute, gain a +10 competence bonus to a single Knowledge check. If you have at least 5 ranks of the Knowledge check in question, you can peruse it as a standard action to gain the benefit. The tome functions three times per day.
